Are you looking for the challenge of a lifetime, then why not consider taking part in an overseas challenge in 2012- 2013.  From walking the Great Wall of China to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and working with a range of community projects in Kenya, there really is an overeseas challenge to suit everyone's ability and desire!

KENYAN ADVENTURE (28th January - 8th February 2013)

Yorkhill Children's Foundation is offering its supporters a trip of a lifetime, participating in an incredible 10 day travel experience.  From football and multi- sports coaching, to teaching in schools and community work with children there is a host of initiatives to support.  You do not need to be qualified in your chosen field- you will be provided with teaching/ sports coaching resources prior to departure.  Volunteer roles and activities include: rugby coaching, football coaching, multi- sports coaching, teaching children in schools, community building and renovation and community work with children.  In addition to helping sick children at Yorkhill Hospital, you will also support the Kenyan Adventure Community Pledge which contributes humanitarian and resource support to deprived areas of south- western Kenya, 

Participants are asked to raise a minimum £1,495 (excluding flights).

LONDON to PARIS CYCLE

11th - 15th July 2012

Connecting two of the world's most chic capital cities the London to Paris bike ride is an exciting charity challenge.  Starting from the UK's capital, through the English countryside over to rural France and on to the heart of Paris, finishing under the Eiffel Tower.  This trip is a fantastic challenge for anyone wanting to do something amazing for a great cause! There will be lots of like minded people taking part, all looking for the challenge of a lifetime and of course to meet new friends. Some people come with friends or family but most people come on their own so what are you waiting for!

Minimum sponsorship is £1,400.

EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK

23 March- 10 April 2013

The route will take you via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar through beautiful valleys, dense forests and across glacial rivers before you reach the renowned viewpoint of Kalapatar, on the approach to Everest Base Camp, and see the highest mountain on the planet!  There is also time built in to trek to Base Camp itself.  

Nepal is a country in a league of its own with breathtakingly beautiful scenery, a fascinating cluture and friendly people.  Meeting the villagers whilst trekking through this landlocked gem of a nation is one of its greatest pleasures. 

19 days/ 18 nights.

Minimum sponsorship £3,750.
