How you can help

How your company can get involved

One of the biggest issues in today’s business world is Corporate Social Responsibility, with companies focused on how they can support charities whilst also gaining maximum benefit for themselves. Enhanced public image, boosted staff morale and increased sales and productivity can all be gained from a meaningful and well-managed corporate charity partnership. Yorkhill Children’s Foundation aims to build mutually beneficial relationships with all the companies it works with, recognising that corporate partnerships are driven by more than philanthropy – they must also satisfy the needs of the business. Working together, we can ensure that all these needs are met whilst money is raised for a cause close to the hearts of your employees and customers.

There are several ways in which your company can support the work of the Foundation:

Choose us as your Charity of the Year

Working together, we aim to build a relationship with the key contacts within your company including PR and Marketing, Human Resources and social committees to put together a calendar of fundraising initiatives which can be enjoyed by employees, clients and customers alike. Key aims will be to inspire and motivate staff, improve relationships with important clients and customers and increase public awareness of the company.

Yorkhill Children’s Foundation events

Yorkhill Children’s Foundation has a full and varied calendar of corporate events offering companies a great way to treat staff and/or customers to a memorable social occasion whilst raising much needed funds for charity. Whether it’s a black tie dinner or a team-based sporting competition, there’s something out there for everyone to enjoy. To read about our events, click here.

Sponsorship

Sponsoring Yorkhill Children’s Foundation can bring many benefits to your company. It can help reach a target audience, increase brand awareness, motivate staff or show commitment to the local community. Sponsorship opportunities range from corporate events to funding printed materials or specific campaigns and we’ll work closely with you to make sure your company gains maximum publicity from the sponsorship.

Cause Related Marketing

Cause Related Marketing is a fantastic way to meet marketing objectives and raise money for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation. Boost your sales and PR coverage, increase long term customer loyalty and raise awareness of a new product - an excellent way to enhance your brand.

Payroll giving

Did you know that if you donate £10 a month to Yorkhill Children’s Foundation from your pay, your gift will only cost you £7.80? The Inland Revenue gives us the extra £2.20 (at the basic rate of taxation)! Payroll giving is the easiest, most tax efficient way for your employees to give money to Yorkhill Children’s Foundation. It’s quick and easy to set-up and administer and is a great way to demonstrate commitment to charity giving, whilst generating a substantial income stream to the Foundation. If your company doesn't have a payroll giving scheme, you can set one up through a government approved agency, like the Charities Aid Foundation.

Gifts-in-kind

Giving a gift-in-kind to Yorkhill Children’s Foundation is an easy way for your company to help us to reduce costs and spend more money on sick children. We are always particularly grateful for donations of products and services which can be used as prizes for raffles and auctions at our fundraising events.

Matched giving

Many companies operate a matched giving scheme whereby whatever money is raised by staff for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation is matched by the company. This could also be put in place if your employees volunteer at a Foundation event – your company could “give” them their time to volunteer and also match the amount raised at the event. This boosts morale and encourages team building by rewarding employees for their generosity and no Corporation Tax is payable on the money you use to match employee giving.
