Portable Hip Plaster Chairs

AFTER hip surgery, young children can be in plaster for anything up to six months – which makes sitting on an ordinary chair to eat, play or read impossible. The Foundation granted £6,000 to the hospital’s Plaster Room for 20 Portable Hip Plaster Chairs, which makes a huge difference to the lives of these children. They can sit up, eat meals, play with their toys or read books, giving them back their independence and allowing some peace of mind to parents and carers.
