Mobile Phone and Printer Cartridges
Everyone knows recycling is good for the environment, but did you know that recycling is also good for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation? Yorkhill Children’s Foundation has partnered with the experts at the Recycling Appeal to launch an exciting new fundraising initiative that recycles mobile phones and printer cartridges. Not only will your participation raise the charity much needed funds, recycling allows you to make a positive impact on the environment. To get more details and begin recycling simply call 08451 302 010, or visit www.recyclingappeal.com (please ensure that you notify the Recycling Appeal Team that you are collecting on behalf of Yorkhill Children’s Foundation).
Alternatively, there is a collection box outside the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation Shop, which is located inside the main entrance of The Royal Hospital for Sick Children.
Textile Recycling
Millions of garments, clothes and household textiles are discarded every year, but many of these can be recycled and re-used throughout the developing world, Africa and Asia. By recycling your unwanted clothes, shoes and textiles through a Yorkhill Children's Foundtion clothing bank you are not only reducing landfill, but donating much needed funds to our cause.
Nathan's Wastesavers service and maintain charity textile banks, and Yorkhill Children's Foundation would like to encourage everyone to donate their unwanted textiles in one of our charity textile banks. A list of locations can be found below.
