How you can help make a donation
Volunteering

Ask anyone who volunteers and they will tell you that not only is it fulfilling, it is also great fun! Volunteers are vital members of the Yorkhill Children's Foundation team and they give their commitment, time and energy on a regular basis. This allows us to keep our costs to a minimum, develop our fundraising and ultimately increase the contribution we make to the excellent care provided at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.

If you have some free time, and are interested in supporting Yorkhill Children’s Foundation we have a wide range of volunteer opportunities available, and we would be delighted to have your support.

To register your interest in becoming a volunteer for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation please email yorkhill.fund@ggc.scot.nhs.uk for more information.

Tea Bar

The Tea Bar is situated in the hospital's busy main reception area and is open from 10am to 4pm each weekday. This is run entirely by volunteers, who choose either a morning or afternoon shift.

Office

Our office team is small and assistance is required on both a regular and an occasional basis for daily tasks such as counting collection cans, writing thank-you letters and helping with large mailings.

Gift Shop

This is situated in the main reception area and volunteers are needed to cover either a morning or afternoon shift, working in teams of two.

Fundraising

We are always looking for volunteers who can help at the calendar of fundraising events that we organise or attend each year. If you are enthusiastic and reliable then we need your help.

Local Collections,

In the past year, more than £35,000 has been raised for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation from collection cans. Not only do our collections raise much needed funds but they also serve to promote the charity and its work. There are many ways that you can get involved with collections for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation, and there really is something to suit everyone.
